The Long Rostrum

A green plant bug rears its head against a deep blue background, its long snout and dew-flecked legs picked out in fine detail. Sculptural and slightly surreal. Fun fact: True bugs (order Hemiptera) are defined by that piercing-sucking mouthpart — it's what separates a "bug," scientifically, from beetles, ants and everything else people loosely call bugs.
