The Little Grebe (golden water)

A little grebe swims across water painted in soft golds and greens, its chestnut neck glowing, reflections turning the whole frame into a watercolour. Serene and painterly. Fun fact: The little grebe, or "dabchick," is a superb diver that vanishes underwater at the first hint of danger and can pop up many metres away — and its fluffy, almost tailless body makes it look like a floating powder-puff.
