Full Moon
A crisp full moon hangs against a black sky, every major crater and dark lunar "sea" picked out in fine detail. A patient, precise piece of astrophotography. Fun fact: The dark patches are *maria* — plains of ancient hardened lava — and because the Moon rotates in perfect sync with its orbit, we only ever see this one face from Earth; the "far side" stayed a mystery until 1959.
