Blue Hour at the Fishing Beach

The last embers of sunset bleed into a deep indigo sky as a wooden fishing boat rests on the sand, a palmyra palm rising against the afterglow. Out on the water a fleet of small boats waits for morning. This is the coast in its most peaceful hour. Fun fact: On Bangladesh's southern coast — places like Kuakata — you can watch both sunrise and sunset over the sea from the same beach, a rarity that has earned it the name "Daughter of the Sea."
